In a recent achievement, Continuum has secured success in not just one, but two Levelling up fund bids in the North West. In Autumn 2023, the Government awarded grant funding for a number of regeneration projects as part of Round 3 of the Levelling up Fund. Chorley Council was awarded £20m for town centre improvement and the civic square, and Westmorland and Furness Council was awarded £13.5m for the Heart of Kendal.

The foundation of the bid success lies in the robust proposals and business cases put forward by the Continuum team which carefully aligned to the regeneration objectives of the fund. Each bid also demonstrated the teams keen understanding of the specific needs in the areas of Kendal and Chorley.

The successes could also not have been achieved without the collaborative input of the wider team and stakeholder input.

We look forward to continuing our work with the Councils as they move forward into the delivery of the projects.
