We are looking for ambitious, driven, enthusiastic individuals to join our expanding team. Continuum was founded in 2017 and has been successfully growing ever since. We have expanding client base who operate nationwide from Devon to Kendal and are serviced out of our three offices in Tower Bridge (London), Sheffield and Chorley.

Our focus is development consultancy and we operate across four broad sectors focusing on financial viability, development management, planning consultancy and regeneration. This opportunity is primarily within our financial viability and regeneration service lines but will operate across the whole business. 

We are looking for candidates who are able to demonstrate proficiency in financial analysis and cash flow modelling to support in servicing established and new clients in both the private and public sector.

Key Responsibilities

  • Preparing cash flow models for development proposals;
  • Preparing residual appraisals for development schemes;
  • Preparing financial viability appraisals (FVA) to support planning applications;
  • Undertaking HMT Green Book value for money assessments to inform bid funding applications;
  • Reviewing and assessing cost plan assessments;
  • Preparing reports to support cash flow modelling and residual appraisals;
  • Attending project team meetings;
  • Partaking in negotiation with parties in regard of FVAs submitted in support of planning applications
  • Supporting Clients during Planning Appeals on matters pertaining to viability in planning.

What We Are Looking For

  • 2+ years’ experience in surveying or equivalent role;
  • Knowledge and understanding of the property development industry;
  • Knowledge and understanding of the planning process;
  • MRICS or equivalent qualified;
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and experience of cash flow modelling;
  • Proficient in Argus software or equivalent such as ProDev or ProVal;
  • Proficient across all Microsoft Office platforms;
  • Excellent communication analytical and organisational skills;
  • Experience of working within a consultancy or client organisation;
  • Confident and able to build and maintain strong relationships with clients and relevant members of project teams;
  • Experience in a client facing role;
  • Ability to clearly articulate project needs on a scheme by scheme basis;
  • Ability to effectively manage time and ensure deadlines are achieved;
  • Commitment, enthusiasm, and a strong work ethic;
  • Ability to work in a team environment and independently.
